Udawalawe safari

Safari jeeps enter the park with visitors accompanied by experienced drivers. Early morning and afternoon drives are commonly used to explore the park’s grasslands, forests and reservoirs while looking for wildlife.

Elephant Transit Home

The Elephant Transit Home near the park is another popular stop, focused on rehabilitating orphaned elephants before their eventual release. It can be visited separately from a national park safari.
